Full stack engineer job requirements vary by employer, but the same technical terms repeat across live company career pages. In a sample of 50 Full Stack Engineer postings, React, TypeScript, AWS, JavaScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL appeared most often. You should use those patterns to inspect your evidence, not to copy skills you do not have.

The fastest way to see current openings is to open [Job Radar](https://yourunique.cv/job-radar), finish your career profile, and select Find jobs for me. It searches live public ATS postings from company career pages, then matches the results to your profile and location preferences.

## What this live snapshot shows

This analysis uses a [YourUnique.cv](https://yourunique.cv) Job Radar corpus snapshot from September 15, 2026. The full corpus contained 579,828 active postings. The Full Stack Engineer slice contained 4,606 active titles matching Full Stack Engineer.

The sample included 50 random job descriptions from that slice. It covered postings from public ATS sources such as Greenhouse, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Lever, Workable, and Teamtailor. The larger role slice included 1,094 Greenhouse postings, 985 Ashby postings, 738 SmartRecruiters postings, 600 Lever postings, 597 Workable postings, and 155 Teamtailor postings.

These are listing patterns. They are not a universal specification for every Full Stack Engineer role. A percentage means the term appeared in that sample. It does not mean an employer will reject you if the term is absent from your resume.

## Repeated technical requirements

The table below ranks the repeated skills in the 50 sampled postings.

| Skill or requirement | Share of sampled postings |
|---|---:|
| React | 64% |
| TypeScript | 56% |
| AWS | 42% |
| JavaScript | 38% |
| Node.js | 34% |
| PostgreSQL | 32% |
| Agile | 30% |
| Docker | 28% |
| Python | 28% |
| REST APIs | 28% |
| Git | 26% |
| CI/CD | 24% |

Start with the skills that match your background and the role you want. If you have used React and TypeScript, place them where a recruiter or screening system can find them quickly. Then attach each skill to work you actually completed.

A bare keyword list is weak evidence. A project bullet can show the technology, the part you owned, and the result. The result does not need to be dramatic. It can describe speed, reliability, delivery volume, or a measurable reduction in manual work.

### Five example evidence bullets

These are generic examples with plausible metrics. Replace the details with your own facts. Do not use a metric that you cannot support.

- Built React and TypeScript features used by 18,000 monthly users, reducing the average page interaction time by 24%.
- Developed Node.js REST APIs connected to PostgreSQL, cutting a recurring report process from 12 minutes to under 3 minutes.
- Deployed services on AWS with Docker and CI/CD workflows, reducing release preparation from two hours to 20 minutes.
- Used JavaScript and React to rebuild a customer workflow, raising completed submissions by 17% over one quarter.
- Worked in an Agile team with Git-based reviews and Python support scripts, removing about 10 hours of manual checks each week.

These examples cover the most repeated terms, but they should not become a template for invented experience. If your work used a different stack, describe that work accurately. If a term is only adjacent to your experience, do not present it as hands-on experience.

## Experience and education language

When a sampled post stated years of experience, the median was 5. Years appeared in 76% of the sampled postings. Treat that as a description of the sample, not as a fixed cutoff. Employers use different wording, and some candidates will match a role through relevant project scope rather than an exact number.

Education language was less consistent:

| Education wording in the sample | Share of sampled postings |
|---|---:|
| Bachelor | 22% |
| Degree or equivalent | 16% |
| Master | 10% |

Do not add a degree, license, or number of years to your resume unless it is true. If a posting says degree or equivalent and your background fits the equivalent path, make the relevant work visible. Keep the wording factual.

## Workplace and location patterns

The workplace mix was close across the sample slice. Remote roles formed the largest share, followed by onsite and hybrid roles.

| Workplace type | Share of active Full Stack Engineer slice |
|---|---:|
| Remote | 36% |
| Onsite | 35% |
| Hybrid | 29% |

Frequent locations in the slice included Remote with 102 postings, San Francisco with 91, United States with 63, New York City with 56, Paris with 44, London with 44, San Francisco, CA with 39, and New York with 36.

Location still needs careful review. A remote label does not guarantee that an employer can hire in your country. [Job Radar](https://yourunique.cv/job-radar) prefers your city and keeps remote results only when the posting appears hireable in that country. Read the location and eligibility details before spending time on an application.

## How to scan live openings before tailoring

Use this process for each Full Stack Engineer card you consider. The aim is to separate a good match from a long keyword list.

- [ ] Open the Full Stack Engineer results after running Find jobs for me.
- [ ] Check the location, workplace type, and any country restriction.
- [ ] Mark the technical terms that match work you have actually done.
- [ ] Separate direct experience from tools mentioned only as adjacent or preferred items.
- [ ] Find the main product, service, or delivery responsibility in the posting.
- [ ] Compare that responsibility with your strongest project or employment evidence.
- [ ] Note the stated experience language without treating it as an automatic cutoff.
- [ ] Check education wording only against your real background.
- [ ] Tailor the top section and relevant bullets to the specific opening.
- [ ] Read the final resume for accuracy before applying.

This scan prevents a common mistake: tailoring to a general Full Stack Engineer keyword cloud instead of to the actual job. React may be common across the sample, but the posting still determines whether your strongest evidence should focus on frontend delivery, APIs, infrastructure, data work, or team process.

## Testing one posting

If you are unsure whether your resume reflects one specific job description, use the [ATS resume checker](https://yourunique.cv/free-tools/ats-resume-checker). Upload a resume PDF and paste the job description. It returns a match score, missing keywords, and gaps. The PDF is scanned for the result and is not saved to an account.

That result is a comparison aid. It is not the number an employer sees in Workday, Greenhouse, or another ATS. It cannot prove how a particular employer's system will rank your application.

You can also use the [job description keyword extractor](https://yourunique.cv/free-tools/job-description-keyword-extractor) when you need to sort a posting into must-haves, tools, and nice-to-haves. Add a resume PDF if you want to see which terms are already in the file. Use the output to check your document, not to add skills you lack.

## A practical tailoring order

First, adjust the headline or summary only when it accurately describes your target. Next, move relevant technical evidence higher in the document. Then revise bullets so they explain what you built, how you worked, and what changed.

Keep the technology tied to the action. “React” alone is less useful than a truthful bullet explaining the React feature you delivered. The same applies to AWS, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Docker, and CI/CD.

Finally, check the PDF. Confirm that the text is selectable, the dates are consistent, and the most relevant terms are spelled correctly. A clean document helps both a parser and a human reader, but no public checker can guarantee an employer's result.

## Questions

### What are the most common full stack engineer job requirements?

In the sampled listings, React appeared in 64%, TypeScript in 56%, AWS in 42%, JavaScript in 38%, Node.js in 34%, and PostgreSQL in 32%. Agile, Docker, Python, REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD also appeared repeatedly.

### How can I find Full Stack Engineer jobs on company career pages?

Open [Job Radar](https://yourunique.cv/job-radar), finish your career profile, and run Find jobs for me. It matches your profile against live public ATS postings and shows readable job cards based on your location preferences.

### Do these requirements mean I need every listed skill?

No. The percentages show how often a skill appeared in a sample of postings. Compare each opening with your real experience, then make relevant evidence easy to find in your resume. Do not claim skills or experience you do not have.

### Does a resume checker give the employer's ATS score?

No. The [ATS resume checker](https://yourunique.cv/free-tools/ats-resume-checker) compares your PDF with a pasted job description and reports a match score, missing keywords, and gaps. It is not a Workday or Greenhouse score.

### What experience level did these postings request?

Among sampled postings that stated years of experience, the median was 5. Since 76% mentioned years, this is a pattern in the sample, not a universal employer cutoff.
