Generate CV from a Job Posting: Tailor from a Job Radar Match

If you want to generate cv from job posting data, start with a readable match on Job Radar. Open the match, choose Generate CV, review the draft against the job description, and export a PDF after checking every fact.

This is different from copying a job ad into a generic CV writer. The match already comes from the career profile used by the resume agent. The CV flow then focuses that profile on one live public career-page role.

What happens before you generate the CV

You run Find jobs for me in Job Radar. The system filters and ranks live public ATS postings, then scores the shortlist in the same way it reads a tailored CV. You receive an email when the board is ready.

The corpus snapshot on September 15, 2026 contained 579,828 active public ATS postings. The sources are public career pages and ATS boards. Job Radar does not ingest LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukri, or Workday.

The full corpus had a workplace mix of 65% onsite, 17% hybrid, and 18% remote. The board prefers your candidate city. Remote roles remain in the results only when the posting looks hireable in your country. That helps you start with jobs that have a clearer location fit.

The four-step Generate CV sequence

1. Open the readable match

Open a readable card and inspect the role before generating anything. Check the title, workplace arrangement, location, and job-description text. Confirm that the role is one you can apply for based on your actual background.

Chat can browse jobs that are already on your board. It does not start a new corpus search. If you need more matches, use Find jobs for me rather than asking the chat to search outside the board.

2. Select Generate CV

On a readable match, Generate CV starts the paid CV flow for that specific job. The flow uses the same career profile that powers the match. It writes toward the requirements in that job description instead of producing a general-purpose document.

You can upload a resume, with an optional LinkedIn URL, when setting up the paid product. You can keep the uploaded resume layout or choose a built-in template. Templates are available at yourunique.cv/templates.

The output is based on profile facts. It should not create a degree, tool, job title, achievement, or responsibility that is missing from your source information. A stronger match is not a reason to claim experience you do not have.

3. Edit the facts and layout

Read the generated CV line by line. Fix dates, titles, locations, names, and results. Remove wording that is too broad. Add a fact only when it is already supported by your resume or career profile.

Then review the sections that matter for this posting:

• The headline should describe the work you actually do.
• The summary should connect your real background to the role.
• Work bullets should use relevant evidence from your history.
• Skills should include terms you genuinely know or have used.
• The layout should remain easy to scan in a PDF.

4. Review the ATS read and export the PDF

After the CV is written, the paid flow provides an ATS read against that job description. It includes a score out of 100, an area table, and gaps. Use those gaps as review prompts. They are not instructions to invent missing experience.

This is a tailored-CV read. It is not the employer's Workday, Greenhouse, or other ATS score. A public checker cannot prove what an employer's system will do. It can show whether your document contains clear, relevant information for the pasted job description.

When the facts, wording, and layout are correct, export the PDF. Open the exported file before applying. Check that text is selectable, headings are in the right order, page breaks are clean, and no bullet has been cut off.

The ATS resume checker accepts a resume PDF and pasted job description. It returns a match score, missing keywords, and gaps. The PDF is scanned for the result and is not saved to an account.

The job description keyword extractor accepts pasted job-description text. You can add a resume PDF to mark which keywords are already in the file. It lists must-haves, tools, and nice-to-haves. Treat the list as a review aid. Do not add skills you do not have.

Neither free tool rewrites your CV. Neither produces the employer's ATS number.

How to improve a generated CV without stuffing keywords

Start with the job's real requirements. Find the terms that describe the work, tools, responsibilities, and outcomes you can support. Then check where those facts appear in your CV.

A weak edit forces a term into an unrelated bullet:

Supported many projects using advanced tools and strong communication.

This says little and may not match the evidence in your profile.

A better edit names the real work, when that fact exists in your background:

Coordinated project updates with internal teams and recorded decisions in the project workflow.

The second bullet is useful only if it is true for you. The generated CV can help select and phrase relevant facts. It cannot create the underlying experience.
