The fastest way to understand registered nurse job requirements is to scan several live postings, then tailor your CV to the requirements you genuinely meet. A single job description can mislead you. A group of postings shows repeated patterns.

A Job Radar corpus snapshot dated September 15, 2026, contained 579,828 active postings. The Registered Nurse title slice contained 1,941 active postings. ## What the live sample shows

The sample had a clear licensing signal. RN license language appeared in 46% of sampled job descriptions. Medication support appeared in 34%. BLS or ACLS appeared in 26%.

Care plans, CPR, and EHR or EMR each appeared in 14% of the sample. These are useful terms to check in your own experience, but do not add a skill you do not have.

## Workplace patterns and locations

Registered Nurse roles in the full slice were mostly onsite. Remote roles were a minority. This matters when you set your search location and decide which applications to review first.

These location counts describe the snapshot, not a promise that the same openings remain available. Public ATS postings change. A role can close, move, or receive a new description.

Do not use a bullet that describes a procedure you have not performed. Do not list BLS, ACLS, or CPR unless your certification status supports the wording. If you have medication support experience but did not administer medication independently, describe your actual role instead.
